Writing and photography are my passport to travel unexpected paths.
I’ve stopped along the way to add other skills to my growing travel bag including the interviewing techniques to understand the trials and celebrations of cancer patients, the struggles and backgrounds of celebrities, the ambitions, causes, goals and strategies of business pros, and the battles of those trying to preserve history and what is special about us all.
Through working with non-profits, agencies, entertainment companies, publishers, art galleries and design firms, I understand what attracts media to a story of all kinds, how to market those stories, and the insane fun of creating and publicizing special events on a local or national level.
I’ve authored more than 1,900 features, columns, profiles and theatre/movie reviews for newspapers, magazines, the Internet, specialty publications, and newsletters. I’ve covered diverse subjects including entertainment, business, sports, travel, advertising, environmental preservation, health, gardening, the arts, lifestyle, automotive, history, collecting, entrepreneurship, issues for those over the age of 50, and more.
